John Mcleods Joinery Workshop is one of our proudest achievements , whilst other small shops have struggled to compete with large factories producing standard window ranges etc from CNC automated machinery , we kept adding to our team and pushing forward with the belief that traditional hand made products are what our clients want especially within listed buildings . Our workshop craftsmen have a well blended combination of skills , they are all traditionally trained joiners , wood machinists , bench joiners & painters with a combination of over 140 years experience between them and our Newly built 6500 sqft state premise they are a formidable team . The experience they share is invaluable for our 5 Joinery Apprentices , we firmly believe in maintaining traditional skills , our ethos is to grow our own ! . Some of our previous projects have included one-off sash replacements to making over 120 Sash and Casement windows for one home . No shape or size limits our ability in fact the more bespoke the better , we take pride in making Kitchens , Furniture , Gothic Arch windows , Curved stairs & Balusters , Shop fronts , Entrance doors , Oak frames and any made to measure architrave or mouldings , if required all products can be pre-finished with any choice of Ral colour or Stain . Why not challenge our team , Im sure you will be delighted with the outcome when we Restore the past ~ Building the Future .

Design, supply and fit from trade outlets or manufacturing the bespoke kitchen of your choice to fit your own space including granite, quartz and hardwood surfaces.

  • addTimber Windows

We manufacture a selection of windows from a simple stormproof casement to a fully reversible H type to a Gothic arch. The reversible window can be made with 2 sashes that reverse to comply with easy cleaning above ground floor which looks very much like a sash & casement window The benefit of this type of window is it needs much less aperture size than a sash and casement and its more economical to manufacture.

Sometimes you learn more from your mistakes than you do from your masterpieces. That's crazy. Every day I learn. You've got to learn to fight the temptation to resist these things. Just let them happen. If I paint something, I don't want to have to explain what it is.

  • addStairs

You can do it. We don't have to be concerned about it. We just have to let it fall where it will. That's what makes life fun. That you can make these decisions. That you can create the world that you want.

  • addBespoke

The little tiny Tim easels will let you down. Don't be afraid to make these big decisions. Once you start, they sort of just make themselves. The first step to doing anything is to believe you can do it. See it finished in your mind before you ever start. In your imagination you can go anywhere you want. We'll throw some old gray clouds in here just sneaking around and having fun.
